Before you start
You need an afka workspace and permission to connect Microsoft Teams. Your Microsoft 365 administrator may need to allow afka through your organization’s app process.
Sign in to the afka workspace you want to connect. A workspace administrator manages the Microsoft Teams connection.
Add and connect afka
- Add afka in Microsoft Teams. Find afka in Apps, or use the app made available by your organization. Add it to the team or chat where you want to work.
- Connect your workspace. Say hi to afka, then select Connect your workspace and sign in. You can also open app.afka.ai, go to Channels, and select Add on the Microsoft Teams tile.
- Send your first request. Mention @afka in the connected channel or chat. In a direct message, write to afka directly. Type help at any time.
If your organization restricts apps, ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to make afka available. App availability follows your organization’s policies.
What afka does in Teams
Use plain words to hand over work. afka replies in the conversation, using the company knowledge and connected tools your workspace makes available.
- Recruiting: prepare role criteria, organize interviews, and review evidence from candidate conversations. Your team makes hiring decisions.
- Customer support: answer from approved knowledge, look up an order, prepare the next step, and bring a person in with context.
- E-commerce: handle order questions, returns, and store requests within configured permissions and limits.
- Meetings: bring afka into a Teams meeting for questions, notes, decisions, and follow-up tasks.
“@afka check order 1187 and draft a reply for the customer.”
Illustrative request. Available actions depend on your connected tools and workspace settings.Review and approve actions
When an action needs your decision, afka shows an approval card in Teams. Review the content, then choose Approve or Reject. Actions follow your workspace’s permissions, autonomy settings, and approval rules.
Approving a request and completing the action are separate steps. Check the result returned by afka before treating the work as finished.
Access and privacy
afka only reads Teams conversations it is part of. Messages, files, and links shared with afka provide context for the request. Connected tools use the access granted to your workspace.
For information about processing and retention, read the Privacy Policy. For service terms, read the Terms of Service.
afka uses AI to write replies and take actions. AI can make mistakes, so review important outputs before relying on them.
Disconnect Microsoft Teams
A workspace administrator can open Channels in afka and select Disconnect on the Microsoft Teams tile. You can also remove the app from a team or chat through Microsoft Teams.
Disconnecting a channel is not the same as deleting workspace records. For a data deletion request, contact support from your workspace owner account.
Get help
Type help in your conversation with afka. For setup problems, unexpected behavior, or inappropriate AI content, email support@afka.ai.
